CHICAGO, IL (January 3, 2008) – American Science and Technology, today
announced that Dr. Stafford Cuffe has joined the company as the Operations
Manager of the Alternative Energy Technology Program. Dr. Cuffe brings over 30
years of experience in management and engineering to his new role at AST, where
he will report to the President, Ali Manesh.
Dr. Cuffe, most recently served as Founder and President of Cuffe & Associates
where he was involved in hybrid manufacturing and information technology
strategies as well as providing higher education consultations for colleges and
universities for integration of web-based products. Prior to Cuffe & Associates,
Dr. Cuffe held project management and engineering– related positions with Ford
Motor Company, Technical Center, and manufacturing facilities.
“As AST continues to expand and take on more projects, it is absolutely critical
to ensure that there is a strong management team in place to ensure intelligent
growth,” said Ali Manesh. “Stafford possesses a high level of expertise and
leadership that will help AST to continue to grow. We’re fortunate that he has
decided to join our team.”
Dr. Cuffe earned his Ph.D., from Walden University, in Applied Management and
Decision Sciences. He had taught MBA and DBA courses at several accredited
universities and colleges over the last ten years. In addition, Dr. Cuffe has
professional memberships in: American Management Association, Institute of
Electrical and Electronics Engineers and Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
