Biomass Conversion Division - Manufacturing Services AST’s Biomass Conversion Division has the capabilities to design and build laboratory, pilot plant, and scale up chemical reactors for biomass conversion processes. AST has successfully designed and built various types of continuous biodiesel plants, fast pyrolysis, digestion systems, hydrolysis, and fermenters. AST has a complete in-house, integrated pilot plant bio-refinery for testing and evaluating various processes and ideas.
